Breathing Between Battles
💭 Reflection
We talk a lot about surviving the storm —
but what about the quiet moments in between?
Those brief, uneasy silences before the next challenge rises.
The days when your body remembers pain but your calendar says “normal.”
The moments where your mind is tired but your life keeps asking for more.
These in-between spaces matter.
They’re not pauses.
They’re sacred ground.
They’re where you decide whether you’ll carry the weight… or lay it down.
So often we only give ourselves permission to rest once the “fight” is over.
But peace isn’t something we earn — it’s something we practice, even when life won’t sit still.
✨ Re-Centering Reminder
You are allowed to breathe in the middle of it.
You don’t need to wait for everything to be okay before you come home to yourself.
Try this:
- Sit still for 90 seconds
- Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 6
- Repeat: I am not the battle. I am the breath that carries me through it.
📝 Poem:
Breathing Between Battles
The world says fight.
Your soul says feel.
The world says win.
Your spirit says heal.
So take one breath, then one more still —
The war won’t wait, but neither will your will.
You are not the wound. You are the wind.
Not the fire. You are the flame within.
💬 Tell me below — what’s one way you’re choosing to breathe between battles this week?
Rooting for your peace,
– Mak Peace
